SD participates in the University of Latvia’s Patrons’ Breakfast.

On April 10th of this year, the University of Latvia Foundation hosted an event called the “Patrons’ Breakfast.” Representatives from SD were also invited as patrons of the Foundation.

The purpose of this event was to gather the Foundation’s current patrons and address potential supporters. The Board of the LU Foundation provided a report on the accomplishments of 2023 and informed attendees about future plans—among which the most ambitious is “Latvian Nobel Prize Laureate” by 2050. Among the new projects mentioned are:
• 500 for the LU Library
• LU Academic Center: House of Health
• LU North American Tour
• LU Botanical Garden

For several years, SD has supported young bachelor’s and master’s program students by funding 2 bachelor’s study scholarships and 2 master’s study scholarships annually, as well as providing opportunities for students to participate in moot court competitions and donating funds to expand the LU library.

We are proud to be part of this like-minded community and look forward to continuing our collaboration with the LU Foundation.
