Skrastiņš & Dzenis team has successfully represented SIA Veiksme un K, a company involved in retail trade of household, interior, electronics, garden, and leisure goods operating under brand name Tehnoland. Our team provided legal assistance and representation to the client on the Competition and procedural law issues, as well as represented the client before the Competition Council and various court instances.
Within this case the Competition Council insisted that the infringement decision in a cartel case against our client’s sister company shall be enforced against our client and issued an executive order, as well as turned to the bailiff for enforcement.
After vigorous attempts to prove that there are no legal grounds in the law as it stands for enforcing the decision on our client, the charges were dropped and court declared the decision unenforceable against our client, thus, the enforcement procedure was put to an end against our client.
