Skrastiņš & Dzenis team has successfully represented SIA HD FestForest in an employment dispute after our client terminated employment relationships with one of the company’s employees.

The respective employee made redundant submitted a claim to the court, making a statement that the person is made redundant due to the reorganization process, however, such situation is forbidden by the Latvian legislation, as well as, stating that assessment of the employees carried out by our client had never been carried out and such assessment was made after the former employee submitted the claim.

Skrastiņš & Dzenis has successfully represented the client as the judgement delivered by court of first instance was favourable to our client. Although the plaintiff appealed the judgment, the involved parties upon our client’s initiative concluded a settlement.
